End of project

The PARAMOUNT project has been successfully finished in November 2003.  

25/September/ 2003

The PARAMOUNT project will be presented at the exhibition of the IST Event 2003 in Milan (Italy)  from 02 - 04/October/2003. You can find us at stand 13B, where members of the PARAMOUNT team will be available for detailed information and demonstration.  

10/September/ 2003

The PARAMOUNT project will be presented at the ION-GPS 2003 conference in Portland/Oregon (USA) on 11/September/2003. 

25/August/ 2003

The PARAMOUNT system was presented on TV in the framework of the 'Abendschau' (Bayerisches Fernsehen) on 13/August/2003.

PARAMOUNT was object of two newspaper articles in the Sueddeutsche Zeitung and Muenchner Merkur.

An article was also published in the spanish mountaineer magazine Desnivel. (See Publications).

The official Spanish Public Presentation of the project will take place at ICC/Barcelona (E) on 24/July/2003.

The corresponding In-field Demonstration will be held at the Pyreneen test area of Nuria/E on 28/July/2003

An official Public Presentation of the project will take place at AGIS, University of the Bundeswehr Munich in Neubiberg/GER on 18/July/2003. Anyone interested in the PARAMOUNT project is invited to attend this presentation. Furthermore a Public In-field Demonstration of the developed prototype system will be held at the test area of Sudelfeld/GER on 19/July/2003. If you woud like to attend or are interested in further information please send an E-Mail to .

For the definition of the specific user-requirements a public user survey is performed. Everyone interested in mountain hiking is invited to participate in this survey.

A workshop with representatives of the German and Austrian Mountain Search and Rescue Organizations (Bayerische Bergwacht and Oesterreichischer Bergrettungsdienst) will be held on 02/Mar/2002 in Brannenburg / GER. In the frame of this workshop the main user-requirements  from the SAR organizations' point of view will be discussed and defined.
